Caroline + Vav :: June 14th, 2008

Caroline + Vav had one of the most perfect weddings ever! The wedding took place at the lovely McLean House at the Sunnybrook Estates. I love this location that is tucked away off of Bayview because it makes you easily forget that you are in Toronto!

Caroline is awesome and did everything possible to make their big day very special for their friends and family. Pink paper lanterns greeted the guests on arrival and as they took their seats for the ceremony, there were customized newspapers to read containing hilarious "news" stories about all those involved in the wedding. There was a dreamy candy table and instead of the usual dinner, they opted to serve their favourite meal - breakfast! Guests dined on eggs benedict which was a fun touch!

Caroline + Vav are five months pregnant and they decided that at the reception they would announce to their guests the sex of the baby. They played it up like an awards ceremony and when the MC's announced "It's a boy!" everyone jumped out of their seats giving high fives and celebrating. For me, it was one of the best moments that I have experienced at a wedding. You could feel the love in the room and it was truly magical.

Congratulations Caroline + Vav!

This Swallowtail butterfly was the first thing that we saw as we arrived at McLean House. I'm pretty sure that it means good luck.

I knew that I was in trouble when I saw the group of groomsmen with Vav before the ceremony!

Their awesome dog Stella had a big role in the wedding!
