Yvette + Al :: September 15th, 2007

Yvette and Al are a beautiful couple and everything about their wedding was gorgeous! Their ceremony and reception took place at the very cool Great Hall on Queen Street West in Toronto. We did all of the formal photos inside the hall, except for a few when I had Yvette and Al hang out in the streetcar stop across the street! Their wedding included a lot of personal elements which made the day even more special. Congratulations Yvette and Al!
For their ceremony, Yvette and Al's friend read "The Owl & The Pussycat". Everyone loved it!

I loved Yvette's hairclip!

One of their personal touches to their wedding was their invites. Yvette hand-drew every one!

Yvette made their cute cake topper herself!

I love it when my previous brides and grooms are at my weddings! Here are Eva and Mike. I photographed their wedding two years ago.

Melissa + Steve :: September 8th, 2007

Very rarely do I get a chance to visit my hometown, Port Hope, in the summer months since I am so busy photographing weddings. When Melissa and Steve decided to book me as their photographer for their Port Hope wedding I was super excited to go back home! I have known both Melissa and Steve forever so it was great to be a part of their big day. One of the best parts about photographing weddings in small towns is that there is no need to obtain photography permits. In fact, if you like someone's backyard, chances are, the owners will let you use it as the backdrop for your photos, as was the case for this wedding! Congratulations Melissa and Steve!

Melissa and Steve has a horse and carriage take them around the historic downtown area right after their ceremony. To me, this photo represents Port Hope perfectly!

Melissa's one-month old niece was at the wedding (and her parents were part of the wedding party)! How special!

Melissa and Steve had the most amazing wedding cake EVER! I could not stop photographing it!

When you are a police officer in a small town, chances are, a cruiser will come to visit you at your wedding! We had to do a photo.

Studio Boudoir

This bride was hot! She brought a ton of different outfits for us to work with for her boudoir portrait session that took place during the marathon that I held in August. Her wedding is coming up very soon and I know that her fiancé will be very surprised when he receives these as his wedding gift!

Ten + Jim :: September 1st, 2007

Ten & Jim are a fantastic couple. They are so in tune with each other that it's fun to watch them together. Their wedding was a classy affair that took place at the Old Mill in Toronto. They had the deluxe suite for getting ready in and we took full advantage of it for photos! The suite had a balcony with a fantastic view. I loved Jim's tailcoat but I think that because of it, he thought that he was in the movie The Prestige! Instead of a wedding cake, Ten made cupcakes. They were the most delicious cupcakes ever and they were topped with edible flowers that she candied herself. What a talented lady! Congratulations Ten & Jim!

PeiPei + Chris :: September 2nd, 2007

PeiPei and Chris are one of the sweetest couples ever. When they booked me for their wedding, I was very excited to photograph them. They seemed like such genuine, good people. Their wedding was beautiful! PeiPei looked absolutely stunning all dressed up. Their ceremony took place at the Botanical Gardens in Niagara Falls. The location gave us plenty of options to do photos! Their reception was then held at the Queenston Heights Restaurant that overlooks the Niagara River. The view was gorgeous as the sun set right behind the head table. Congratulations PeiPei & Chris!

I loved that the Moms walked down the aisle together!

PeiPei's parents came all the way from Taiwan for the celebrations!

For dinner they had the most delicious vegetarian food ever! Here is a photo of the yummy salad.

Katerra at Play

For the past month I have had very little down time from work. I have been shooting thousands of photos whether they were at weddings or portrait sessions. It has been crazy! I love being busy and I love what I do but sometimes it is necessary to take a little break. Today I went to the park with my sister and Little K for a little play time. Katerra is completely walking, well mostly running, now. She is her own independent little lady! I love her Bob Marley shirt - "Wake Up and Live". It is a message that we should all keep in mind.
