Baby Makes Three

Last June I photographed Katy and Curtis' beautiful wedding in Kirkfield. I was very excited when I found out that they were pregnant and I was even more excited to finally meet the little guy, Ferguson. On Wednesdsay I met the new family at a park in downtown Toronto to do some casual portraits of them together. Gus is the cutest little thing ever at three months old. I adore his natural mowhak - the little guy was born to be a rebel!

Post-wedding Portraits on the Beach!

A couple of weeks ago Jenn contacted me asking me if I would be interested in doing a "trash the dress" style portrait session with herself and her new hubby Brad. She wanted to get dirty and have to get some sexy portraits of them together. Of course I said, "heck yes!" and we began planning the session. We soon decided to meet at the beach in Southampton at sunset to get the perfect portraits. For anyone unfamiliar with Southampton, it is located on Lake Huron just north of Port Elgin. Lake Huron is one of the best of the Great Lakes to photograph on from Ontario as the sunsets directly across the water. The lake was a little chilly for them after hanging out in it for two hours but it was definitely worth it because the final portraits are gorgeous!

This image makes me think of Hamlet's Ophelia!

Back in the City

I am back in the city after being away for a few days of photography and relaxing! I am very excited to post some new images in the coming days that include:

• Katerra's first birthday
• Heather + Philip's wedding that took place in Peterborough on Saturday
• Jenn + Brad post-wedding portrait session that took place in Southampton on Sunday
• And of course, there is always more boudoir portraits to show!

In the meantime, here are a couple of photos from the drive back to the city last night. The sunset was taunting us as we made our way back to reality. The fields were golden and the farmers were out harvesting the hay.

Deborah Ann + Mark :: Engagement Photos

On Monday evening I met Deborah Ann and Mark at the Distillery District in Toronto to do their engagement photos. We had originally scheduled the session for a week earlier but rain forced us to postpone it. I am glad that we did it on Monday because the weather was beautiful and the sun was golden! Deborah Ann and Mark were a fun couple for me to photograph. They had all of the "looks" from serious to loving to laughing! I cannot wait until their wedding in September! I know that we are going to have a blast!

Deborah Ann and Mark got engaged at the CN Tower so it was important to get some shots with the Tower in the background.

Someone had written "love" in a heart in the dusty window of this building!

Do I Travel?

I have been getting many inquiries lately asking if I travel for photography. The answer is Yes! I love to travel.

Trash the Dress in NYC? Most definitely!

Boudoir in Ottawa? For sure!

Please do not hesitate to contact me about wedding or portrait photography even if you are not close to Toronto. I am sure that we can work something out!

Boudoir at Home

On Friday I went to this bride's downtown Toronto condo for her boudoir portrait session. The lovely Dorota did her hair and make-up in two different "looks". I love how different they make her look!

Another Studio Boudoir Session

Her fiance is a baseball player so we have to do some fun shots with a bat!

I just wanted to remind everyone that before I post any boudoir portraits online, I always get prior permission from the bride.

Weekend Away

This past Canada Day weekend we enjoyed off, spending our time cruising around Northumberland and Prince Edward Counties. Having grown up in Northumberland County, I really felt at home. There are so many great places to visit within a couple of hours of Toronto!

Driving to my Mom's house down some random rural road we turned the corner to find this lovely view: an abandoned truck in a field with a couple of horses and a little cemetery behind it. I loved it and we had to stop for a few photographs.

It is definitely not as big (and scary!) as the Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver but the one in Ferris Provincial Park still had a great view.
