I knew that Farrah and Scott's intimate garden wedding would be a good one when I arrived and heard one of my favourite bands, Arcade Fire, playing throughout the backyard. I was even more excited when I saw Farrah and Scott in their fabulous wedding clothes - I absolutely adore Farrah's knee-length dress and Scott's slim suit was perfect! Farrah and Scott's wedding took place in his parents' gorgeous backyard in Woodstock. The gardens were in full bloom and detail was taken in every minute spot - included custom bottles of water that matched the green and white colour theme. We started the day with the posed photos in order to get them out of the way, as Farrah and Scott really wanted to focus on getting great candids with their friends and family. They also told me that they are basically the most unphotogenic couple on the planet but I think that we got at least a few shots to dispprove that! Congratulations Farrah & Scott! I hope that you are having a blast on your honeymoon in Japan!
Instead of traditional centrepieces, they opted for white pots of jade and thyme.

There were three flowergirls and one flowerboy for the wedding!
I think that little Lucy was more interested in catching bugs than anything else!

Farrah and Scott walked down the aisle together. I loved the way that Scott is looking at his bride!

I loved the balls of tissue paper that they had hanging in the tent!

This week is full of boudoir portrait sessions for me! Here are some of my favourite images from my second boudoir session that took place on Sunday. The make-up was done by the fabulous Megan Pais who will be working wtih me on my boudoir marathon day on Sunday, August 19th.

At the studio I have a fabulous view of downtown Toronto! You can somewhat make out the CN Tower on the left.

A couple of months ago my friend Heather called me to ask if I would take some portraits of her associate Lindsay and herself for her website. I, of course, said yes and we began planning the shoot. We met at the studio a couple of weeks ago to finally do the shoot. The fabulous Deanna Surbek did the make-up before we headed to King Street for the session. I loved that Heather and Lindsay had matching dresses!

Holy blue eyes on Heather!

We are always up for a good jumping shot!
Here is one of the three of us.
Doesn't Heather look graceful while shooting all dolled up? She even has one of my cameras slung over her shoulder.

On June 9th I travelled to North Gower, which is a small town just south of Ottawa, to photograph Melissa and Mark's wedding. I took my sister Abby along as my assistant for the day. She is fabulous, takes beautiful photographs plus I think that she is the only one who could handle sitting in the car for four and a half hours listening me sing. (After all the driving, we now have big plans to tour with the Rolling Stones as their new back-up singers!)
Melissa had two pairs of shoes for the wedding: ceremony and reception ones.
I LOVE the green and blue in this image!
Melissa prints out her speech before getting ready.
The cats were kicked out of the house while the dress hung on it's hanger. I loved the sign on the bedroom door!
Melissa's Dad was so cute! Here he is upon the first peek of his daughter all dolled up.

The officiant for their wedding was the same one from the wedding that I photographed last June in Ottawa! What are the chances?!

We let Melissa be the tall one for a few shots!

Instead of a cake, Melissa and Mark had a cupcake tree.

Here are a few from my latest boudoir session to take place in the studio. This bride is getting an album made of her favourite images to give to her fiance as a wedding gift. I am sure that he will love it!

Lisa and Adam got married on June 2nd, 2007 on one of the hottest days of the year so far! I was really looking forward to their wedding since they booked me to photograph their wedding years ago!! I originally met Lisa & Adam at Adam's sister, Jill's, wedding almost three years ago. After having a blast at Jill and Drew's wedding, I knew that Lisa and Adam's would be just as fun! I started the day at their home in Hamilton where Lisa and her ladies were getting ready. We then headed to the beautiful Ancaster Old Mill where both the ceremony and reception took place. I love photographing weddings at the Ancaster Old Mill. The location for the outdoor ceremonies is gorgeous and it is heavily shaded so I knew we would not melt in the humidity! Lisa and Adam are a fabulous couple. Their love for each other is huge and obvious. They also have a great sense of humour which is what really carries you through at the end of the day. Congratulations Lisa and Adam!

Lisa and Adam's adorable dog, Bailey, was their ringbearer!

Lisa's brothers walked her down the aisle.

Lisa and Adam laughed at me when I said that I wanted to take this photograph. But I thought it was great with the details of the kilt and wedding dress!

I know that there are at least a few people patiently awaiting a peek of Lisa and Adam's wedding photos from last Saturday! I will do my best to get some up as soon as possible! In the meantime, here's one.Labels: wedding
On Sunday I had two boudoir portrait sessions in the studio. Here are a few of my favourites from my first session.

This past week I participated in the "Get Serious" workshop put on by the lovely Judy of Elementz of Fotographie. Judy is awesome and I have so much respect for what she does. She is also someone who is always there to help out when need be which I really appreciate. The workshop was a lot of fun! On Wednesday afternoon we were sent out in the city with a bride to take some urban portraits. I was lucky enough to have the beautiful Irina who happpens to be a photographer herself. Here are a few of my favourite images from the day.
