Sharon & John's Wedding | January 21st, 2006

Yesterday was an absolutely gorgeous day for a wedding and a rare one for a January day in Ontario. Sharon & John's beautiful wedding took place at the Royal Asburn Golf & Country Club just north of Whitby. I woke up to a morning full of rain/snow/slush but the temperature was relatively warm and as I travelled north-east to the location, the sun started shining and the closer I got to the golf course, the more snow lay on the ground making for great photographs. Sharon looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress - she took everyone's breath away. John could barely hold it together upon his first glance of her as she walked down the aisle with all of her parents in hand. The wedding was about uniting two separate families as one. During his speech, the groom's uncle stated that he could feel everyone's love in his heart. Without a doubt, everyone could feel that love.

New lens tests

Although she rolls her eyes at me when I lift my camera, I do not think that my sister Abby ever gets tired of being my model.

Tin Bangs

About a year ago I did a fashion shoot in the studio with some friends. The idea was to get some good shots to add to my commercial portfolio. One of the best photographs that came out of this shoot was one of Ben who plays guitar for the wonderful band, Tin Bangs.

On Tuesday the rest of the band got together at the studio to re-enact the photo with each individual member doing a jump. The shoot was prettly hilarious as all of the guys had to add their own "spice" to their jumps. Here is one of the first retouched photos from the shoot of bass player Phil. Stayed tuned to see shots of the remaining Tin Bangs members.

First Post!

I have decided to step into the world of blogs as a way to let all of you see just what I am up to these days in terms of my photography. It will be a way to allow me to expand on the various photography shoots that I am doing by having a venue to tell stories of the shoots and to show additional photos that would otherwise be unseen. Please do not hesitate to let me know what you think.
